Dave Cooper
Founder & CEO, Automate 48 | CISSP | Six Sigma Black Belt
Dave spent 20+ years building and governing security infrastructure at Wells Fargo — one of the top-5 US banks — managing 2.5 million digital certificates across 80,000 servers, closing a US Federal OCC Consent Order with 100% gap closure across 550 deliverables, and earning approximately 5 patents in security automation. He represented Wells Fargo on global standards bodies alongside Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla, KPMG, and the US General Services Administration.
In 2022, Dave left to build AI systems from scratch — applying that same enterprise-grade discipline to deliver production automation for small and mid-sized businesses. He holds a CISSP, a Six Sigma Black Belt, AWS AI/ML certification, and is currently completing an AI program at MIT.
Outside of work, Dave holds 3 IPF World Records and 18 National Records in powerlifting, is a 2x National Competitor in Strongman, has completed 10 Full Tough Mudder events, and has run a marathon. He has also coached 1,000+ youth track and field athletes, including a USATF Junior Olympics National Champion and three All-America designees. The same discipline that drives elite athletic performance is what he brings to every client engagement.
